Meet Our System Administrators

The Floyd County School System is very special to me.  My family has lived in Rome and been educated in this school system for generations.  I am proud to be a product of the school system and credit my success to the dedicated educators who believed in my abilities.

I am proud of our accomplishments over the past few years.  I believe in shared leadership and have nurtured and fostered the development of that process.  With shared leadership, we have produced outstanding results.  Our school system has taken its place as one of the best school systems in the state and we continue to move toward our goal of being one of the best in the country.  Our test scores are at record levels for our system and our students are graduating better prepared for the challenges that face them in the future than at any time in the history of Floyd County Schools.  We have made this happen because we are a community united to provide the best opportunities for our children.

A successful school system is the result of the community, the board of education, superintendent, administrators, teachers and parents all working together to ensure that children are provided the opportunities to achieve and excel to the height of their abilities.  Decisions within the organization must reflect the philosophy that students come first and in every decision the question must be asked, “How does this impact student learning?”   Floyd County Schools will continue to keep this essential question at the core of service to children of the community.
