Tier Factor Program

Tier Factor Rubric

Program established to empower students to take ownership of academic achievement, behavior and attendance.

Students are responsible for their own progress and know the expectations from the beginning.

Students will be responsible to document progress of performance.

Using a Likert Scale of 1-5 (1 being poor and 5 being excellent), students will complete a weekly self-evaluation of progress following a rubric.

The FCEC staff will also evaluate student performance.

Performance will be based on classroom behavior and academic progress, following FCEC guidelines, and attendance that includes tardies and early dismissals.

Tiers are established to coincide with evaluations.

Tiers are based on the following taken from evaluations:

WHITE:  New Student.  Each student must complete a full weekly cycle before evaluation.  (Leave at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, silent lunch, no privileges)

BLUE:  Ranked primarily 1’s and 2’s in categories.  (REQUIRED TO ATTEND PASS PROGRAM).  Leave at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and complete behavior improvement plan.

GOLD:  Consistently ranked 3’s in the categories.  Leave at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. (REQUIRED TO ATTEND PASS PROGRAM)

PLATINUM:  Ranked primarily 4’s and 5’s in the categories.  (Special privileges to be determined.  Leave at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, water privileges.

Each student will have a lanyard with the corresponding card to match their tier level for the week.  This lanyard will be worn at all times by students.

Each student may rank different tiers from week. To week.

Privileges and rewards are offered at different tier levels, along with consequences in the blue level.  See Rubric for definitive information.
