The Floyd County Schools Pre-K registration period has been scheduled for February 1 - 12, 2010. This is an opportunity for parents to register their children for the slots available in the Pre-K program in Floyd County Schools for the 2010-2011 school year.  

Applications for the program will be available at each school in the system offering a Pre-K class beginning on February 1.  Applications will be available during the registration period and should be turned in to the local school.  To be eligible for Pre-K , a child must be four-years-old on or before September 1. 

Pre-K slots are not filled on a first come basis so applications received on the first and last day of the application period will have an equal opportunity at the slots available. Names will be randomly drawn from applications received to fill the number of spaces available at each school site.  All parents of applicants will be notified by mail concerning the status of their application.  The notices will be mailed by February 23, 2010.
